This is the newest addition to our family. Her name is Camille (Cammie for short). She is a Yellow Lab. We got her from some friends about 15 miles from our home in Ohio when she was eight weeks old. They breed Labs, but this particular litter was a suprise. They weren't prepared for it so they just GAVE their friends that wanted one a pure bred puppy for free. I would have paid thousands for her though. She is developing the most unique personality. She was the runt of the litter so she is quite spoiled and very independent. She's definately a Mama's Girl. I walk around the house singing: Me and my shadow! Wherever I go, she goes.
She has a very unique look as well, that's why we chose her. Her eyes, nose, and the rims of her eyes have no pigment in them. It set her apart from the other puppies in the litter, whose noses were all black, eyes were all brown, and the rims of their eyes were all black. I've read up on it some and it seems that because Camille has no pigment in these areas, she would disqualify to be a show dog. Can you imagine that? Take another look at her. I think she could win first prize!!!!!
